Refreshing CG Global's portfolio with modern ceiling fan designs.
With a struggling market share in the ceiling fan category, CG Global wanted to update their portfolio with modern designs that would fit the Indian market.
I contributed to multiple aspects during the development of the product, from understanding the market, strategising directions for the design and conceptualising the product.
Using Ai saved us weeks of iteration, massively speeding up our ideation workflow for deep exploration of forms & CMF.
I developed multiple sketch to vizcom workflows to speed up conceptualisation. It became easier to streamline CMF developments as well using moodboard images to influence design generation.

A design language that makes use of shared parts across 3 SKUs for better inventory management.
CG Global wanted to keep their inventory lean while also having multiple SKUs to service different customer needs. We adapted this to the designs in a way where the premium & mid-range fans shared the canopy whereas the mid-range and lite versions shared the hub and metallic blades.
CAD Development to maintain design intent.
I designed the initial CAS model, imitating the design as sketched, with seamless blades and a canopy silhouette that flowed into the hub. Multiple engineers were involved in taking the base model to a finished & production-ready model, with complete airflow simulations.
Process
An exhaustive process was followed in the development of the fan designs, starting from market research, talking to servicing technicians, developing scale mockups and more.
