Mustard is a smart-glass concept that aims to balance wearability with striking design.
Most smart glasses run into the same trade-off, cramming in more tech usually means sacrificing wearability, or worse, ending up with a design nobody wants to be seen wearing.
There's also the camera problem. It often goes unnoticed, which sounds convenient until you realize that's exactly the issue: nobody enjoys being recorded without their knowledge.
A silhouette that embraces tech at it's core.
Mustard's internal tech stack shapes its exterior design, creating a striking visual language that embraces the technology inside instead of hiding it behind a plain, minimal silhouette like most brands do.
Mustard also introduces a physical sleeve that covers the camera, encouraging mindful use of tech in public spaces.
Mustard was launched at CES 2025 with aesthetic prototypes.

Process
The initial process involved a lot of sketchwork & iterating with Vizcom to fine tune the silhouette & design of the frame and temples.
Designs were made in CAD to check the physical fit & feel using 3D prints. Designs can look deceptively good on the screen but the final nod comes only after testing with physical models.
After countless prototypes & surfacing revisions, we arrived at a the final design.
